Schaumburg, IL (PRWEB) January 31, 2008 -- Sweet Endeavours, Inc. (www.chocolatines.com), a luxury chocolatier specializing in the creation of "east meets west" chocolates that combine Asian flavors with French pastry methods introduces private truffle-making workshops that bring the experience into participants' homes. Not only will clients get to learn how to make truffles in the privacy of their own kitchen but also Sweet Endeavours' Owner and Chef Rieko Wada will work with them on flavor selection for the best chocolate and food pairing.
"If sushi is the focus of a dinner party, our matcha green tea truffles would make a perfect pairing with the sushi," says Chef Wada. "We'll make recommendations based on clients' needs but they can customize their event with truffle flavors they'd like to make."
Flavors that have been carefully selected for these workshops include Champagne, matcha green tea, Japanese yuzu, pear caramel liqueur, Tahitian vanilla, hazelnut gianduja and passion fruit. In addition to private home workshops, Sweet Endeavours offers both hands-on and demonstration-only workshops at its Schaumburg facility.
"Cooking, chocolates and comfort are key ingredients for the perfect truffle-making experience," Chef Wada says. "We leave it up to clients on how interactive they would like to be -- we can make the workshops engaging enough for couples or low-key enough for corporate and social events."
Classes can also be customized for business activities, employee incentives, birthdays, wedding showers or any other special event. Sweet Endeavours will bring all the necessary materials to clients' homes or other specified locations and Chef Wada will teach the art of truffle-making in less than two hours. All class participants will make up to two different truffle flavors and receive gift bags.
"What makes our workshop unique is that the focus is solely the dessert portion -- the sweet part," Sweet Endeavours' Director or Marketing Kasumi Wada says. "Whether it's for an intimate dinner party or for a business event, our workshop is a perfect recipe for a memorable experience."
Tuition for private hands-on classes is $65 per person, while demonstration-only workshops cost $45 per person. All home workshops require a minimum of six people. Meanwhile, tuition for hands-on classes held at Sweet Endeavours costs $50 per person and $40 per person for demonstration-only classes. On-site workshops require a minimum of four people. Reservations must be made two weeks in advance. As a Valentine's Day special, Sweet Endeavours also offers wine and chocolate pairing classes, in addition to the truffle-making workshops. The fee for both workshops, which will be held at Sweet Endeavours, is $75 per person. For more information, call 224-653-2700 or send an e-mail to info @ chocolatines.com.
